My old man just returned his Ford Explorer and is looking to rent another car. He already made clear that this drive was not very kind on his posterior and that it had more than necessary engine capacity for Florida… Now he's looking for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it must be Offroader since he enjoys surfing, etc… plus it's the only big vehicle in the family, I borrowed his vehicle numerous times to transport possessions around given that I own a Toyota Prius and my partner a Beetle.

In any case, the budget; it's without doubt less than US $30k after taxes and fees.
He did like the Mazda CX7, but it does not have sufficient bite, the Turbo edition has excellent muscle and handles great, but for the cost he opines he could do better.
He received a great deal at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he has a reliability concern because our Audi A6 and VW Beetle were regulalrly breaking down. I suggested that with a 36-month charter he shouldn't have any tribulations (as opposed to owning the Audi like he had for about 4 years).
Next there is the new Subaru Outback, a very good vehicle, one could smell superiority all over if you are to explore this vehicle… Dad even suggested that he might have purchased the car before now if it wasn't because the salesman being such a douchebag… I think after taxes it reaches $30k or so, but he does seem to like the car very much.
I feel he prefers the Toyota RAV4 , I'll ask him if he wants to examine it out, its cost seems within reach.
Any ideas? k to k or so? The Nissan Rogue seems like a bad choice and so I told him not to bother going through that, besdies the Lexus GX470 is too costly.
